Why else would he grant an audience with Nancy Pelosi and her pro-choice ways? My theory, knowing nothing else, is that he’s witnessed what those neo-cons are capable of and wants to help ensure they don’t rise to power any time soon. Perhaps Pelosi’s Vatican visit will solidify her rightful place among the leadership of this country. Meeting with Pelosi pretty much clears the silly controversy created last year between some American bishops and the Madam Speaker.
